PRINC promotes 'Medical Logistics' in response to the trend of telemedicine and reinvent the medical industry by hosting an international conference

7 July 2023 – PRINC Hospital Suvarnabhumi, a flagship hospital of Principal Healthcare and Principal Capital Public Company Limited or PRINC, co-hosted the Asia-Pacific Regional Conference HospitaLog Asia 2023 at Prince Hospital Suvarnabhumi, attended by leading medical and logistics industry experts from across the Asia-Pacific region. The event was led by Dr. Athiwat Noiprasit (Managing Director of Prince Suvarnabhumi Hospital), Mr. Danairat Thanabadee Thammajaree (Digital Transformation and Enterprise Architecture, Principal Healthcare Co., Ltd.), Dr. Nipit Phiravech (Managing Partner, Bangkok Healthcare), Mr. Farizal Jaafar (Chief Executive Officer, Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council), Mr. Ang Xing Xian (Chief Executive Officer, CapBay), etc.

Dr. Athiwat Noiprasit, managing director of Princ Hospital Suvarnabhumi said that the Asia-Pacific Conference, HospitaLog Asia 2023, is a forum for the exchange of best practices in healthcare logistics and medical resource management, efficient to catch up and respond to the change. For example, Telemedicine - which is expected that by 2025 the market value will jump to $278 billion. What needs to be adapted is the management of medical logistics that corresponds to change e.g., patients are able to receive home delivery of medicines or medical supplies with a proper management. Therefore, the complex method of logistic measure such as specific temperature control will be the key. Furthermore, the database development of patients will help medical personnel to analyze data and giving treatment more effectively and ultimately linking to the “Healthcare Ecosystem” or public health support system, such as using a Mobile Application to connect the database to the operating system. In response to this technology, Principal Healthcare Group use the “PRINC Health” application to link with the hospital management operating system. When the service recipient comes to register at the hospital, they will receive a bracelet in the form of a QR code to identify themselves in which reducing the time for processing documents and able to prescription of medication by computer system. Moreover, patients can also receive lab results via the application. The medical logistics system shall be developed in line with the changing service processes which remains on the basis of patient safety.

Mr. Danairat Thanabodithammachari, a Digital Transformation and Enterprise Architecture, Principal Healthcare Co., Ltd. was mentioned on the topic of “Next-Gen Hospital Ecosystems” stating that information system technology is constantly advancing. Many technologies are integrated to create and adapted to new service experience. The good example is Virtual Reality (VR), a technology that simulates a place in a virtual world. Users can interact with a simulated place or environment through devices. Augmented Reality (AR) is also another example for using technology to bring objects or content from the virtual world to appear as a simulation in the real world. The hospital may apply the current innovation such as Blockchain or any electronic databases, for storing patient data, medical records, and various medical statistics with accuracy and high security.
